Evelyn Gonzalez (she/her) is a writer and director from Hawthorne, CA. She is dedicated to telling Latine stories, creating spaces for Latines to be the main characters in mainstream media. Her writing explores the Central American experience in America, the effects of colonization in Latin America and their diaspora, and the erasure of indigenous peoples history in Latin America through speculative science fiction and dramatic narrative. Evelyn also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from CSU Dominguez Hills.

"PLEASE DON'T SHOOT!" is Evelyn's directorial debut. She had the opportunity to direct El Colectivo Sabinas' most popular song through Justice For My Sister's Music Video Launchpad, now making its rounds at film festivals across Los Angeles.
